These 0.5 NA cylindrical microlenses are obtained by drawing the fiber-optic preform with radial refractive-index distribution and specific Luneburg type profile into smaller diameter rods. Their main application is for fast axis collimation (FAC) of laser diodes.

h1 - Rod height above optical axis (0.4 x D < h1 <= 0.5 x D) in mm
h2 - Rod height below optical axis (0.4 x D < h2 <= 0.5 x D) in mm
L - Rod length (mm)
S(λ12) - Coating code

S is reserved for the lens coating specification code. The most common examples are provided in Preferred Coating Table. AR means Anti-reflective coating. Unless otherwise specified, R<0.5% across usable numerical aperture of the lens and within appropriate spectral range.
